Fearless domestic abuse service becomes FearFree

Sacro's Fearless domestic abuse service for men and LGBT+ is being rebranded to become FearFree.

The service provides specialist domestic abuse support for:

  • Any man
  • Any LGBT+ person
  • Any trans or non-binary person

FearFree can provide one-to-one support in the following areas:

  • Aberdeen
  • Aberdeenshire
  • East Lothian
  • Edinburgh
  • Fife
  • Glasgow
  • Midlothian
  • West Lothian

FearFree workers can offer a range of support including crisis intervention and safety planning, emotional support, mentoring, and practical support with housing, assistance to access appropriate benefits, healthcare and addictions.

Each individual accessing the service will be assigned a dedicated caseworker who will undertake a full needs assessment and risk assessment.

FearFree is a partnership service, drawing on the expertise and specialist input from LGBT Youth Scotland, Shakti Women’s Aid and the Men’s Advice Line to ensure that all support provided is tailored to the needs of the client.
