In the run up to this year's Remembrance Day, the Sacro Veterans Mentoring Service, together with other staff and managers from Sacro were joined by Sacro Board member, Eric Fraser (who was also Scotland's first Veterans Commissioner) on a tour of the Poppy Scotland factory.

Assisted by our fabulous and knowledgeable tour guide Dougie, a veteran himself, the tour allowed us to reflect both as individuals and as a collective team on the sacrifices made by so many. The tour reinforced the important part played by the poppy and how this small symbol acts as a continuous reminder of those brave individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The tour also served to remind us why our support of veterans is so important and we are very thankful for the continued support of Poppy Scotland and our other funders for allowing our Veterans Mentoring Service to make a positive difference to the lives of veterans we support.
