Last week two of our Garden Project participants at Tollcross Allotments and Park received their Grow and Learn Awards, a result of having had their folios passed by The Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society’s Grow and Learn Development Officer.

The RCHS's Grow and Learn awards are person-centred, recognising individual progress and achievement in horticulture. The awards are inclusive, individualised and offer life skills-based education for all. Grow & Learn aims to address a large gap in provision in the world of horticulture by offering an alternative learning opportunity for those who find mainstream learning challenging.

Our two award recipients are now going to progress onto a second award which involves understanding several gardening topics in more detail, again recording their hands-on practical learning in a diary-style booklet.

Many congratulations to both!
